New Interdisciplinary Research Interest Group on Intellectual Disabilities Formed

A new cross-university, interdisciplinary research interest group focusing on intellectual disabilities held its first meeting today that was facilitated by SDHI. Researchers from the Universities of St Andrews and Dundee participated in the initial meeting, representing psychology, geography, philosophy, nursing and social work. The objective of the meeting was to share information, research ideas, and upcoming events. A further meeting will be held on 4 October 2011, 9:30-12.00. The interest group is open to everyone who has a research interest in intellectual disability. We are in the process of setting up a blog to communicate background information, research findings and to simply support the emerging network. Please join us.
