The Longitudinal Studies Centre Scotland will be holding a 1-day Introductory Training Workshop for the Scottish Longitudinal Study (SLS) on June 6th in St Andrews.
The SLS consists of a 5.3% longitudinal sample of the Scottish population and includes data from the Censuses, Vital Events (births, deaths, marriages) and Education data. Further with appropriate permission ISD Health Data (cancers, maternity, etc) can be linked in. As such it is an unparalleled resource for researchers in a variety of fields, including health, social policy, demography, geography and psychology.
Places on the course are limited to 25, so early booking is recommended. Registration costs £25, which covers lunch, refreshments and training materials.
