Call for Abstracts – Exploiting Existing Data for Health Research 4th International Conference, 28th-30th August 2013, St Andrews

Hosted by the Scottish Health Informatics Programme in association with the four UK Ehealth Informatics Research Centres, the conference organisers would like to extend a general call for the submission of research papers to be presented at the conference. The conference provides a forum for the presentation of new and exciting research that uses linked, electronic health data and an opportunity to discuss present and future challenges in this area. We would welcome interested delegates to submit papers around the following suggested, but by no means exhaustive, themes:

  • Record linkage and health research
  • The use of routinely collected data in clinical trials
  • Patients’ rights and the Public Interest around linked health data
  • The methodological challenges of record linkage in health research
